Hey, we’re not dead!

Hey, we’re not dead!

Studio Ace of Spade to ground control, do you copy? Hey people, Simon here. We’re not dead!

The reason why the Studio has been so silent on its blog is quite simple: we’re really busy cranking out awesomeness for our clients. Let’s make a short recap, shall we?

First of all, we have been working on the brand of Menno Tea. We can’t show much right now, but I promise we’ll unveil more soon. The project covers print and web elements. Stay tuned for more!

Second, we are happy to (re) announce our partnership with New World Arts for their 2012 season. NWA is the local theater here in Goshen, and it’s run entirely by volunteers. What’s the partnership about? Simple: we’re super pumped to announce that we’ll be designing the posters, programs and various thingies for the 14th season! Here’s a sneak peek of the poster for the first show of the season, War of the Worlds by H. G. Wells.

We also helped them by designing the poster for their 24/7 Christmas 2011 event. We designed a first version, that was deemed a bit too dark in terms of concept.

We then switched to a more “Christmas-y” look and feel and got it approved!

More details about the posters are available in the accurate Flickr set.

The 3rd thing that’s going on is exciting as well: we’re working on the brand and web presence of an up-and-coming comical web series.

Fourthly, we’re working with Caleb of Lost and Taken as one of the studios/designers providing some art for the L&T merch store! I’ll leave the honor to unveil the full poster to Caleb, but I guess a little preview can’t hurt, right?

There’s also the process to be seen on Dribbble.

And fifthly and finally, we’re also writing some bits and pieces of code all over the interwebs, by doing some smaller consulting work to help people, shipping the 13 Spade orders, having dog visits at the office (her name is Oreo, by the way), finding some old polaroid cameras that still have film in them

And you, what have you been up to for this last month?
